A Blessing From God

I would hate to lose my sight because when it is pitch-black I can’t see anything. It feels like my eyes are closed and I try and touch them, but I end up poking my eyes. I get mad and frustrated and I would just hate to lose my sight.

If I lose my sight, then I would think that my life is over. I would have to get a guide dog, I would have to quit all of the sports that I play, I would have to go to a different school and the list goes on and on. I couldn’t play with my friends, I couldn’t get a driving license, and the worst of it all is that I couldn’t see my family’s faces anymore. There are advantages to being blind though. For example I wouldn’t care what I would look like and I would be more considerate of others.

Even though I have to wear contacts I still treasure what God has blessed me with. Other can’t see so I am glad that God has given me sight. I love my sight because I can wake up to my loving family every morning, and I don’t have to ask my friends to repeat what they say because I can’t read their lips.

I thank God everyday for what he has blessed me with and so should you. It has been a true blessing from god.
